If you’ve been feeling stiff and sore, try Feldenkrais® classes. These lessons focus on gentle movements, but despite their simplicity, they bring about quite powerful changes, improving posture, reducing stiffness, and making overall movement easier. It’s fun and interesting, and many people feel younger and more energetic afterward. Because you’re moving slowly and with attention, you’re re-wiring your brain -- so you can break bad habits and hold on to these new ways of moving. Feldenkrais classes are appropriate for anyone who wants to move and feel better – no experience required.


Cheryl Smith is a longtime yoga and meditation teacher in Oakville. She began attending Feldenkrais movement classes about 10 years ago, and was intrigued by how different it seemed than anything else she’d done before. The movements and ideas seemed simple, but you feel surprisingly different (and great!) afterwards – supple, powerful, and yet very relaxed. She has now graduated from the 4 year Feldenkrais teacher training and has been teaching classes since 2022.
